Gelcoat Whole Pools

Fiberglass does age over time like anything else in this world. Cracks in the gelcoat can allow dry rot to form in the fiberglass. Blisters are the worst. They form when water seeps in on the backside of a pool. The processopens up the gelcoat and forms the proverbial blister. These things need to be ground down, reglassed, and resprayed. Whole pools can look new again with the color of one’s choi e. Steps can ce glassed, colored, and made to look quite beautiful especially the plastic steps used quite commonly in liner pools. Please see our pictures of one recently compleyed project.

JET SKI DISASTERS

We have a plethora of jet skis in our local waters. We have even more oyster beds and a steep tide that hides problems quickly. The combination causes ongoing damage to the hulls of these at risk vessels. These small watercraft can be reglassed to close the cracks. Gelcoat is then applied for a strong long lasting layer of protection. Paint can be used here to meet budget restrictions.

SAND and BUFF GELCOAT COVERING FIBERGLASS

Gelcoat on aboat or pool can oxidize over a period of years leading to a dull, cloudy finish. This glass needs to be sanded down past the affected oxidized level. Next the area is buffed with a rough compound. Then a mirror glaze is restored back to a like-new natural luster. If the gelcoat isoriginally thick enough ,sanding and buffing will be sufficient to achieve the desired results. If not, new gelcoat would be required. Onecannot really tell until the sanding is completed. The owner can be kept in the loop with pictures, video, or on site inspection. S and B can restore fiberglass beauty at a very affordable cost.
